Inspired by the groovy stoneware of the 1970s, this mug rocks a captivating mix of earthy browns and serene duck egg blues. It's like hugging a mug that's straight out of grandma's collection, but with a twist. Handcrafted and soda fired– a captivating ceramic technique where soda ash is introduced into a hot kiln, interacting with the glaze to create unique textures and colours. It adds a touch of magic to pottery, producing stunning effects like speckling and flashing.

Here we use a casting technique followed by hand-glazing, this mug is made from high-fired stoneware clay, reaching 1298°C. Fully vitrified and non-porous, it's built to last—resisting water absorption, chemicals, and daily wear. The glaze brings a tactile finish, while double firing strengthens both form and function.

Handmade by skilled ceramist in North Thailand.
