Maya Salt Pinch
Introducing the Maya salt dish, your trusty companion in the quest for flavour perfection. This little dish is crafted from speckled stoneware, inspired by the coastal hues of smoky aqua and liberty blue. Its compact size makes it ideal for holding your favourite gourmet salts, adding a touch of elegance to your culinary adventures. Whether you're a sprinkle-it-lightly or a salt-it-like-you-mean-it kind of person, this dish has got you covered. And if thats not enough, keep in mind this little dish is great for butter, jams and honey too!
Our Maya Salt Pinch is Ø6cm x 3cm high. It's made from stoneware, with a clay sourced from far North East Thailand, and then it's fired to extremely high temperatures for over 12 hours (twice!). Making this piece very durable and fully vitrified (a fancy way of saying it won't absorb food and colour).
The Maya collection is handmade by a female studio in North East Thailand, using slip casts, wheels, jiggers and jollys. Its hand glazed and hand trimmed so variation should be expected. Dishwasher Safe, Microwave safe and Oven proof, talk about a triple threat!
Momentum is everything
We use muscle memory to make, shape and mould in a centrifugal dance where tiny movements matter. A frictional force of push and pull, the plate your purchase is the meeting place of maker and mud. Palinopsia turns clay into everyday objects.
Planet to Plate
What we do and don’t do matters. In constant conversation, we continue to modify our environmental and social influence from design to delivery. And our people and partners are all-in, in terms of responsible trading, recycling resources, reducing plastic and waste. Always innovating, brainstorming and tweaking to make strides in sustainability and durability, we take a planet perspective.
